Sheilah grew up in a society that is characterised by child abuse, molestation, rape and all sorts of injustices against children, this has motivated her to become an active children rights activist and lobbyist. She does this through YouTube, where she urges the government, non-governmental organization, religious institutions and the society at large to join hands and give effective and lasting solution for these issues. Currently she holds Tese Foundation Youngest Lioness Award (2018) and Global Child Prodigy award from New Delhi, India (2020) among many others. Sheilah’s organization “Sheilah Sheldone Arts for Social Change” CBO empowers care givers of children with neurodevelopment disorders through social economic activities in Mombasa County. Sheilah Sheldone CBO, has resulted to responsive mentorship programmes, increased access to education and increased identification, assessment and referral of children with neurodevelopmental disorders, in Mombasa County.
