All 2025 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Raised in Dhaka on land her grandfather dedicated to low-income housing, Shejutee grew up side by side with slum children—sharing meals, games, and classrooms. When girls her age were forced into work or marriage, she resolved to act. At just 17, Shejutee has become a changemaker who blends empathy with action, founding Serenity, a youth-led initiative providing workshops on children’s rights, digital safety, and climate justice. Her work is not distant charity; it is rooted in lived experience, growing from her childhood alongside the very children she now advocates for. Whether developing digital safe spaces for trauma healing or providing inclusive education in multiple languages, she continues to transform personal purpose into collective change.

Her impact is both local and global. She has directly reached thousands of children through education drives, digital tools, and community programs—lowering child marriage rates, improving school attendance, and helping families adopt renewable energy. From organizing dengue-prevention campaigns that reduced cases by 70%, to leading climate advocacy that reached 26,000 people through the World Green Human Wall, Shejutee shows that youth-led solutions can save lives and reshape futures. With over 20,000 people engaged online and thousands more offline, her voice carries a powerful truth: when children are empowered, communities are transformed.
