Shekinah has developed an early interest in issues of social justice and children’s rights. She is inspired by models of children’s rights defenders, witnesses of injustice on the part of neglected and abandoned children who do not have the right to education. She experienced injustice, which strengthened her resolve to defend children’s rights. These personal experiences are a source of motivation and empathy. In 2020, she initiated a team with her 10 classmates called “Elite Child for Peace”. Their objective was to raise awareness of the situation of children deprived of education in the city of Bukavu.
