Tamzid is a leading child health advocate in Bangladesh who fights for the health rights of the thalassemia infected children and other paediatric medical emergency children of Bangladesh. At 15, Tamzid developed the blood donor locator app, ‘BloodLink’ which connects the families of thalessemia-infected and dengue children to voluntary blood donors, free of cost. BloodLink has saved the lives of over 150 thalassemia children with BloodLink providing regular on-demand support to over 70 families with thalessmia-infected children. He has raised over $12,000 in grant funding from Bangladesh Government funding, philanthropic organisations and private donors to this effect.
