Tasfia is a young changemaker addressing mental health among students in Bangladesh. After losing a close friend to suicide, she transformed her grief into action by founding YouthWell, an initiative dedicated to ensuring that no student faces mental health struggles alone. Tasfia organizes workshops, mentorship programs, and school sessions that cover early recognition of mental distress, prevention strategies, and emotional support. She collaborates with psychologists from top universities, partners with initiatives like Cyber Teens, and trains volunteers to provide peer-to-peer guidance.

Supported by her family, schools, and a national network of campus ambassadors, Tasfia has reached over 3,000 students online and offline through YouthWell. Her efforts have created safe spaces for conversations on mental health, changed perceptions among students and guardians, and empowered youth to actively support their peers, establishing a growing community dedicated to prioritizing children’s mental well-being.
