Valeria has been concerned with the protection of other people’s lives, especially protection from discrimination on grounds of disability, since elementary school. She also fights for the right to education. Her motivation was the fact that students’ rights were being violated by the ones who have to respect them the most. This injustice led her to take action on the matter. She met students from the 10th and 11th grades and conducted peaceful petitions. From a very young age she has developed a taste for the Colombian folkore and she has been dancing in a non-profit social organization for two years.
