Wilson, named after Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, has been using her voice for change since the age of seven. Through spoken word and performance, she courageously addresses pressing issues in Cameroon and beyond—ranging from conflict and children’s rights to climate justice and peacebuilding. As the youngest member of a performing arts group in Buea, she quickly became known for her bold advocacy and has been invited to schools, churches, NGOs, prisons, and even government institutions to inspire others.
Her activism reaches both offline and online audiences, where she spreads messages of peace and justice through social media, radio, and television. She has encouraged displaced children affected by the Anglophone crisis, trained peers in poetry as a tool for activism, and given hope to prisoners and vulnerable communities. At just 12 years old, Wilson Malala has already built a powerful platform for change—showing how children can lead the way toward peace, rights, and environmental protection.
