Abida, 16, is a passionate advocate for education and girls’ rights, shaped by her experiences growing up in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. After fleeing to the U.S., she has dedicated herself to improving the lives of Afghan children, providing winter clothing, school supplies, menstrual health products, and medical aid to hundreds of orphans. Supported by her family and educators, Abida is founding the non-profit Hope Horizon to expand access to education and discourage child marriage. Through her storytelling, advocacy, and fundraising, she has empowered communities and strengthened opportunities for vulnerable children across borders.
