Aidan, a 15-year-old from the United States (originally from Canada), is a dedicated youth leader tackling food insecurity among homeless children in the San Jose area. In 2020, he co-founded Kids Kitchen, a community meal program providing healthy meals and letters of belonging to young people experiencing homelessness. Motivated by the rise in youth homelessness during the pandemic, Aidan has led the organization with the support of his family and local nonprofits, coordinating meal drives and fostering a sense of dignity and community for unhoused youth.

Through Kids Kitchen, Aidan has helped provide over 5,300 meals, organized monthly drives, and created the Book of Belonging—a collection of letters from community members to support and encourage homeless youth. By challenging stereotypes and educating the public about youth homelessness, Aidan empowers others to take action while building lasting connections. His leadership demonstrates how children can directly impact their communities, ensuring that vulnerable youth receive both nourishment and hope.
