All 2025 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Amarachi, a 17-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria, transforms environmental and educational challenges into action for children. Witnessing climate-induced floods and community displacement, she founded Preserve Our Roots and the G.R.E.E.N. Sustainability Park, creating green spaces, restoring schools, and training youth in climate leadership. Amarachi empowers children to reclaim their futures by teaching advocacy, civic engagement, and environmental stewardship.

Supported by her family, mentors, and organizations like the MUNA Foundation, Amarachi’s work has reached thousands online and offline. She has mobilized youth, collaborated with global partners including Ashoka, BBC Africa, and YOUNGO, and participated in COP27 and COP29 to bring children’s voices to international platforms. Her initiatives combine education, innovation, and sustainability to ensure underserved communities thrive and children’s rights are upheld.
