Ananya (14) and Shyam (13) have dedicated themselves to creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable world for children. Sparked by stories of silent suffering among peers and witnessing environmental neglect in their own neighborhood, they launched the MindUrMind initiative to address mental health while advocating for climate justice. Through stage plays, short films, and an award-winning app, they raise awareness about bullying, adolescent mental health, and the rights of refugee children. Their creative storytelling transforms complex issues into accessible, empathetic narratives, giving children a voice and helping peers, families, and communities confront stigma and emotional struggles.
Their impact extends online and offline. MindUrMind reaches over 45,000 people worldwide through films, music, social campaigns, and webinars, while live stage dramas, screenings, and eco-workshops have engaged more than 10,000 participants. Beyond mental health, they lead environmental initiatives—clean-up drives, tree-planting, recycling, and sustainable craft projects—empowering children to take action for a safer, greener planet. Supported by their parents, mentors, and organizations like Lions Club, WaterAlliance, and EEG, Ananya and Shyam embody how youth-led creativity and compassion can foster mental well-being, sustainability, and inclusion in their communities and beyond.
