Annika, a 16-year-old from the United States, is a passionate advocate for menstrual equity, gender equality, and youth health rights. Motivated by seeing classmates struggle without access to basic needs like school supplies or menstrual products, she began campaigning to create change. Partnering with her county judge’s office and school board, Annika helped install free menstrual product dispensers in schools, reducing stigma and absences while sparking open conversations about menstrual health. She also co-leads PeriodPact, a youth-led nonprofit that has distributed thousands of menstrual products across Houston, and has delivered workshops to ensure young people receive inclusive and accurate menstrual education.

Her leadership extends nationally and globally, contributing to advocacy toolkits and policy initiatives with the Youth Advisory Council for PERIOD., and co-authoring two bills to expand menstrual equity under U.S. law. Annika has advised healthcare providers through the Baylor Teen Health Clinic, advocated for stronger Title IX protections, and organized campaigns against sexual harassment in schools. With over 150,000 products distributed through community drives and countless students empowered through education, Annika is building a future where dignity, equality, and access are guaranteed for every child.
