Divyansh, a 16-year-old climate justice advocate from the United States, has transformed personal experiences of climate disasters into a powerful movement for systemic change. He is the founder and CEO of the Junior Philanthropists Foundation, a youth-led organization that has mobilized over 10,000 young people across 27 states. Through grassroots advocacy, he has helped pass 18 major environmental bills in California, authored dozens of policy briefs, and influenced White House decision-making, leading to clean water access for over a million people, protection of 35,000+ acres of land, and projected reductions of 400,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. His efforts combine policy, education, and mobilization, proving that young voices can shape the future of climate law and governance.
Beyond the United States, Divyansh’s impact extends globally. He developed a climate education curriculum currently being implemented in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reaching an estimated 20,000 students. As one of the youngest U.S. delegates at the United Nations Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY19), he co-drafted the 2024 Global Youth Statement presented at COP29, amplifying youth voices in international negotiations. His activism has touched more than 65,000 people through in-person workshops, conferences, and campaigns, and his planned 2025 UN Youth Climate Conference in the U.S. is projected to convene 1,000+ youth leaders nationwide. By bridging grassroots organizing with international diplomacy, Divyansh is ensuring that climate justice remains at the center of children’s rights worldwide.
