Khushbu, a 17-year-old from India, is a dedicated advocate for education, children’s rights, and menstrual health. Inspired by the struggles of underprivileged children in her community, she began teaching them at home and later funded their education by selling baked goods. She founded the Street Education Program, which has reached over 17,000 children, fostering a self-sustaining cycle where students are encouraged to teach others. Her innovative teaching approach combines storytelling, discussion, and practical learning, empowering children to explore career opportunities and plan for the future.

Supported by her family, the United Nations’ Girl Up program, and collaborations with Jaipur Virasat Foundation and Awaaz Studio, Khushbu also founded Suraksha, a nonprofit addressing menstrual health. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and pad distribution, she has empowered over 500 girls, reducing school absenteeism and challenging societal taboos. Additionally, she has raised significant funds for children with serious health conditions, using her campaigns to educate communities and inspire action. Her multifaceted work demonstrates compassion, leadership, and a commitment to transforming lives through education and advocacy.
