Lea, Rimi, Nada, Lynn, and Majd are a group of 15-year-old students from Lebanon who have become young changemakers in the field of children’s rights, education, and environmental protection. Motivated by living in conditions lacking basic human rights, they designed an eco-friendly, electric-powered air filter to purify the capital’s air and improve public health. With support from their school and parents, they developed, patented, and promoted their invention, engaging municipalities, environmental specialists, and the wider community. Their work has raised awareness online, reached hundreds through workshops, and provides a practical solution to reduce pollution, protecting children’s health and contributing to long-term environmental sustainability in Lebanon and beyond.
