Manikya, a 17-year-old from India, has dedicated his efforts to improving the lives of underprivileged children in his community. Witnessing friends forced into labor, struggling with hunger, or lacking guidance, he founded Baalvadi, a weekly school that provides basic education, moral guidance, and creative activities to keep children away from drugs and crime. He also leads initiatives through the Mrityunjaya Foundation, focusing on child welfare, protection, and rehabilitation, while raising awareness on children’s rights, child abuse, and the importance of education through interactive workshops, storytelling, and community campaigns.
Through his work, Manikya has directly impacted hundreds of children, helping them gain literacy skills, re-enroll in local schools, and access nutrition, clothing, and hygiene kits. His projects have inspired local volunteers, drawn attention from schools and authorities, and transformed neglected spaces into learning hubs. By combining education, cultural activities, and community engagement, Manikya fosters safer, inclusive environments while empowering children to realize their potential and dream of a brighter future.
