From a young age, Maria Cassandra has been driven by a deep commitment to children and community. Elected as class president and later as a council member for the National Anti-Poverty Commission–Children Basic Sector, she has consistently championed child participation, environmental awareness, and child rights. She leads advocacy sessions, develops educational materials, and represents young voices in local and regional councils, ensuring that children are heard in decision-making spaces.

Through the Federated Barangay Children’s Association, Maria Cassandra has organized camps, neighborhood play sessions, and public campaigns addressing online sexual abuse, digital literacy, and child rights. She has reached elementary students, parents, and local leaders alike, creating platforms for young people to engage, learn, and take action. Her work demonstrates how leadership rooted in empathy, dedication, and child-centered advocacy can transform communities and empower the next generation.
