At just 13 years old, Minhazul has become a powerful advocate for child protection and gender equality in Bangladesh. After witnessing the harm caused by child marriage, child labour, and abuse in his community, he co-founded the Obhoy Platform, a youth-led initiative working to ensure safety, dignity, and rights for children and women. Through campaigns like Safe Child, Safe Future, Jisan has helped schools adopt updated protection guidelines and digital safety protocols. His leadership has mobilized over 1,500 youth volunteers across 30+ districts, creating response cells to report rights violations, and connecting survivors to legal aid and child protection services.
Jisan’s impact is both local and national. He has reached more than 120,000 children, adolescents, and caregivers through awareness programs, workshops, and community dialogues. Online, his Bengali-language digital and printed resources have been distributed in over 300 schools and centers, making rights education accessible to rural and underprivileged communities. He has directly intervened in over 500 cases of child marriage and abuse, ensuring justice and protection for vulnerable children. With his courage and determination, Jisan is proving how young people can lead a safer and more equitable future for every child.
