Nafiun Mahir, a 17-year-old from Bangladesh, is a passionate advocate for education and reducing learning poverty among underprivileged children. Motivated by witnessing the struggles of disadvantaged peers, he became actively involved in initiatives that provide educational opportunities and resources. As a member of the Grow Your Reader Foundation, Nafiun has raised funds to build schools, collected books, and supported underprivileged children with essential learning materials. He has also contributed to the creation of an electronic monthly magazine and led the school literature club’s podcast series, “Monologue Mondays,” sharing knowledge and guidance with students. His leadership extends to organizing national events, including the 5th BAFSD English Language Summit, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Through his online initiatives, Nafiun has engaged a broad student community, enhancing access to educational content and reducing learning gaps. Offline, his fundraising and book donation campaigns have directly benefited hundreds of children by providing access to schools, learning materials, and knowledge-sharing platforms. His work empowers students to overcome educational barriers, promotes literacy, and inspires a new generation of learners across Bangladesh.
