All 2025 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Roberto, a 16-year-old from Kakata, Liberia, is a leading child rights advocate who began his activism at just 13. As Speaker of the Liberia National Children’s Forum, he has become a powerful voice for children, engaging with ministers, senators, and policymakers to demand greater investment in education and child protection. He has led national campaigns such as Stop The Killing, Save Liberia’s Future and Friends Forever, Love Can Wait, educating children on peace, safety, and positive values. His work has been recognized nationally and internationally, including at the United Nations General Assembly’s Summit of the Future, where he represented the voices of Liberian children.

Roberto’s leadership extends beyond Liberia. He co-founded the African Children’s Alliance (ACA), which unites young advocates across West Africa to advance regional child rights campaigns. He also founded NOVA Youth Alliance and launched Nova Peace Clubs, educating hundreds of children annually on democracy, leadership, and peacebuilding. Through both online and offline advocacy, Roberto has reached thousands of young people, while his direct engagement with government has strengthened policies to protect children. His efforts demonstrate the power of youth leadership in shaping a more just and hopeful future.
