Growing up in a low-income Brooklyn neighborhood, Sabrina experienced firsthand the barriers that prevent underrepresented students from accessing research and advanced science education. When her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis revealed the life-saving impact of research, Sabrina became determined to open doors that had once been closed to her and her peers. After teaching herself how to enter the world of science research, she founded Project CLERIS, a youth-led nonprofit that provides free courses, tools, and mentorship to help underserved students pursue science education and research opportunities. With the support of mentors, peers, and a global volunteer team, Sabrina has built a movement rooted in equity and the belief that science should be accessible to all.

Through Project CLERIS, Sabrina has reached more than 2 million people across 100 countries and created a thriving community of over 60,000 active users and 3,000 science hub members. Her initiatives include free beginner research courses co-developed with MIT students and ISEF finalists, practical resources such as email templates and project guides, and The Wellness Lab podcast, which connects science to youth issues. Offline, she has helped hundreds of students complete research projects, raise their academic performance, and gain confidence in pursuing STEM. Leading a team of 70 volunteers, Sabrina has transformed her personal struggles into a platform that empowers thousands of young people to see themselves as scientists, innovators, and changemakers.
