Bayzid, a 17-year-old from Dhaka, Bangladesh, turned a heartbreaking personal experience into a lifelong mission to champion mental health. After witnessing the tragic loss of a schoolmate to suicide, he founded ReBegin, a youth-led non-profit dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health and providing free psychological support for teenagers. Bayzid has collaborated with schools, clubs, and organizations to run awareness campaigns, deliver seminars, and organize online and offline workshops. His initiatives have directly saved lives, with at least 10 teenagers receiving crucial support through ReBegin’s network.
Beyond mental health, Bayzid also focuses on social welfare, launching initiatives like distributing water cans to street children to provide income opportunities and creating the ReBegin Hope Fund to deliver food, school supplies, and aid to hundreds of disadvantaged children. By addressing both mental well-being and social needs, Bayzid is reshaping how young people in Bangladesh view mental health—proving it is just as important as physical health.
