Tanzil is a determined advocate against child marriage and a champion for girls’ education through technology. Witnessing the early marriage of his 12-year-old neighbor, Tanzil turned his skills in coding into a solution, creating Bangladesh’s first SMS-based early warning system to prevent child marriages in remote communities. He also launched courtyard coding workshops and online tutorials, empowering girls to earn income through web design, demonstrating their value beyond dowries. Supported by his family and organizations like Bangladesh Women in Technology, Tanzil’s work has prevented dozens of child marriages, rescued trafficking victims, and enabled girls to access tech internships, educational opportunities, and financial independence.
Through low-tech innovations, community workshops, and advocacy, Tanzil has reached thousands of parents and students, built sustainable coding initiatives, and fostered real change—proving that technology, when paired with courage and conviction, can transform lives and protect the rights of children.
