Anjum Shahriear Tahsin
"Every child deserves to grow up in safety, dignity, and hope. Children are not just future leaders—they are voices of the present. When we listen to children, protect their rights, and stand beside them, we create stronger world."

Anjum Shahriear Tahsin (16), from Bangladesh, grew up seeing how children in his community can face social neglect, abuse and exploitation while knowing little about their rights. Witnessing children suffer in silence because of fear, stigma or a lack of guidance inspired him to help make sure young people know their rights and feel confident speaking up.
Tahsin organizes awareness sessions in schools and local communities, helping children understand their rights, personal safety and how to respond to abuse, harassment and discrimination. He also creates safe spaces where children can share their concerns. By listening to their experiences and connecting them with trusted adults or appropriate support services, he helps reduce fear and isolation.
His work brings children, parents and teachers into open conversations about rights, safety and wellbeing. With strong support from his parents, Tahsin continues to combine grassroots action with responsible digital engagement, helping more children understand that their voices matter and that they do not have to face challenges alone.
