Medaiyese Oluwatomisin Sylvester (13), from Nigeria, dreams of becoming a lawyer one day — not for fame or fortune, but to defend children who are mistreated or overlooked in society. As he told his mother, “Mummy, as soon as I can, I will make sure children are well taken care of, especially the orphans in our neighborhood.”
He’s already living that promise. Medaiyese looks out for his orphaned friends, making sure they’re treated equally and included, just like anyone else. His kindness has brought real happiness to his friends, classmates, and schoolmates.
Through his mother’s social media platform and school-to-school debates, Medaiyese is already teaching and mentoring his peers — practicing the fairness and advocacy he hopes to build his future career on.
With his family’s support, especially in helping him pursue his academic goals, Medaiyese is proof that a child’s compassion can be just as powerful as any courtroom argument.
