Muhammad Tazimul Islam

Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and heard—no matter where they are born—and it is our shared responsibility to protect them.

Muhammad Tazimul Islam

Muhammad Tazimul Islam (15), is a student in Hong Kong with strong ties to Bangladesh. Muhammad Tazimul saw firsthand how education there emphasized child protection and ethics — and he wanted to bring that same awareness back home.

Inspired by what he’d learned, he supported youth-led awareness sessions in underserved Bangladeshi communities, teaching age-appropriate lessons on “Good Touch – Bad Touch,” personal boundaries, and identifying trusted adults. He mobilized friends and youth volunteers to organize local fundraising, helping bring child-friendly safety education to rural schools, madrasas, and religious institutions where such programs were rare.

Through careful, culturally sensitive community engagement, Muhammad Tazimul helped open up conversations about child safety and dignity in places where formal child protection education is often limited. As an active youth leader through Interact and other child-focused platforms, he encouraged fellow students to embrace service and responsibility.

His initiatives reached even further online, shared through a community organization’s social media channels — spreading his message of child safety well beyond in-person activities.

With his parents’ encouragement to lead with empathy and responsibility, Muhammad Tazimul is bridging two countries to protect children in both.
The digital reach was achieved through youth-led awareness sharing supported by established community platforms. Content related to child safety, well-being, and youth engagement was shared through the official social media channels of a community-based organization, allowing the child’s initiatives to be disseminated beyond immediate offline activities.
