Elijah Daniel

“We’re not just the leaders of tomorrow, we’re the changemakers of today.”

Elijah Daniel

Elijah Daniel (16), from the United States grew up in a safe, comfortable environment with good schools and plenty of opportunities. But his parents grew up very differently, facing poverty and famine in rural Ethiopia, where many children didn’t have their basic needs met. Their stories stayed with him, and eventually became his motivation to act.

Elijah donated 100,000 books to local schools, making sure children had access to the learning materials he’d always taken for granted. He also set up 100 recycling stations in community areas, teaching kids about sustainability and environmental protection alongside his education work. He organized awareness campaigns on children’s rights, focusing especially on education and protection, and partnered with organizations like Rotary Clubs, Karma for Cara, and the Rileys Ways Foundation to fund initiatives for underserved children.

The impact has been wide-reaching: his campaign videos have racked up over 50,000 views, inspiring others to get involved. By turning his parents’ hard childhood into his own motivation, Elijah is helping give other children the books, resources, and opportunities his own family once went without.
