Kashfiya Jannat Kuhu
Let no girl fall victim to child marriage, and let women and men enjoy equal rights.

Kashfiya Jannat Kuhu (15), is from Bangladesh. Growing up in rural Bangladesh, Kuhu watched classmates get pulled into child marriages and saw girls denied opportunities simply for being girls. Instead of accepting it, she decided to act.
In just the past year, Kuhu has personally stepped in to stop 8 child marriages, giving those girls a different future. She didn’t stop at prevention — she has also helped 20 dropouts return to school, restoring their right to an education.
Kuhu speaks directly to her community through courtyard meetings and local seminars, changing minds on gender equality one conversation at a time. She also leads climate advocacy campaigns, encouraging sustainable habits where she lives. As a child journalist for BDNews24.com, she reports on the very issues she’s fighting, spreading her message further through her own Facebook page and platforms like UN Bangladesh.
She faced real pushback from her own community and family along the way — but she built a dedicated team to keep her work going.
Kuhu proves that age is no barrier to changing lives.
