Md. Ariful Islam

Children are the guardians of the future world if children's rights are ensured, the future world will be ensured, therefore initially education must be ensured for all children.

Md. Ariful Islam

Md. Ariful Islam (17), is from Bangladesh. Now in Class 12, Ariful grew up in a very poor family without guidance from the adults around him. Rather than let that hold him back, he set out to expand educational opportunities for other children.

He launched an online platform that lets children across Bangladesh take part in educational competitions in their own language and participate in extracurricular activities. He also created a second platform open to children from any country in the world, connecting them to a better education system.

To tackle the neglect he saw around education, literature, and culture in his region, Ariful organizes competitions and workshops to help advance them.

He also works as a child journalist, publishing reports on children’s rights through hello.bdnews24.com, which shares his work with its Facebook audience of more than 63,000 followers.

Supported by his own determination as well as various organizations, Ariful is proving that a lack of guidance at home doesn’t have to mean a lack of opportunity for others.
