Sarah
“We must lift the voices of all youth and dare to take bold steps because as youth, we are not only fighting for our own rights, but building the future for every generation that follows.”
Sarah (16) has dedicated herself to addressing the mental health crisis among children and adolescents, driven by her own experiences and those of her family. At just 13, she witnessed her brother struggle with depression and saw peers affected by suicide and mental health stigma. Motivated to create accessible support, Sarah founded Mind4Youth, a youth-led nonprofit providing free mental health resources, therapy access, and educational programs. Through her leadership, the organization has raised nearly $300,000, distributed tens of thousands of resources, and partnered with global platforms such as BetterHelp and UNICEF, empowering young people to prioritize mental health and break the stigma surrounding it.
Sarah’s initiatives have created measurable impact worldwide. Mind4Youth reaches over 3 million youth across North America, India, Pakistan, and Singapore through webinars, workshops, and online campaigns. Offline, 18,000+ youth volunteers work in nearly 80 chapters, delivering mental health kits, self-care items, and curriculum programs to schools, shelters, and communities, ensuring both immediate support and long-term education. Sarah’s work exemplifies how lived experience, empathy, and youth-led action can transform mental health access for young people globally.
