Suhana, 15, grew up witnessing the silent struggles of her peers with anxiety, depression, and emotional trauma in Bangladesh. After losing a close friend to suicide, she was inspired to act, founding Talk Hope under SHADOW to create safe spaces for children and adolescents to speak about mental health. Through workshops, seminars, and peer-led initiatives, Suhana advances children’s rights to mental well-being, emotional safety, and access to psychological support.
Her impact spans both online and offline platforms. Digital campaigns and a helpdesk have reached over 45,000 individuals, while social media advocacy engages 100,000+ followers. Offline, Suhana has organized more than 350 workshops, influenced child-friendly mental health policies in 500+ schools, and worked with local authorities to establish mental health response cells across 20 districts. By mobilizing young volunteers and fostering survivor-led storytelling, Suhana ensures that children across Bangladesh have the support, resources, and hope they need to thrive.
