Tanzim, a 15-year-old from Dhaka, is a committed advocate for education and healthcare access in underprivileged communities. Witnessing how poverty and lack of resources limit children’s opportunities, he founded MAANUSH, a nonprofit providing free STEM and literacy education in Dhaka slums, and Project Q2, a mentorship program connecting youth with research opportunities and expert guidance. Through his social enterprise Plant Wala BD, he funded scholarships for MAANUSH students and empowers women through urban gardening initiatives. Tanzim has trained youth teachers, conducted science and public health workshops, and advocated for local education reforms, creating sustainable solutions for his community as part of Project Q2.
His initiatives have reached hundreds of children directly and thousands more online, with Project Q2 supporting over 2,000 students in research worldwide, and sparked the creation of satellite chapters by Project Q2 alumni. Through his programs, Tanzim is ensuring equitable access to education, fostering research skills, and empowering the next generation of changemakers in Bangladesh.
