Tufayel, a 15-year-old from Sylhet, Bangladesh, is dedicated to advancing children’s rights through education, innovation, and advocacy. Growing up in a rural area where many children lacked opportunities, he founded a science club to help his peers explore creativity, problem-solving, and STEM learning. He has led awareness campaigns on children’s safety, the dangers of child marriage, and the importance of equal access to education, while encouraging girls to remain in school and participate in science programs. Tufayel also authored two books, A Manual to Modern Physics and A Journey to the Center of the DNA, simplifying complex topics for young learners and inspiring interest in science.

His leadership has earned him recognition at international platforms, including the World Innovation Science Project Olympiad and the International Youth Research Innovation Competition, as well as participation in the NASA Space Apps Challenge. Through his workshops and mentoring, he has directly engaged more than 1,000 students, empowering them to compete in national and international competitions. By combining science, advocacy, and digital awareness, Tufayel is ensuring that children in his community are better equipped to learn, dream, and lead.
