Shashvat Dhiman
My message to the world is that every child deserves a clean and healthy environment. Stop open dumping, manage waste responsibly, and work together to protect nature for a safer future.

Shashvat Dhiman (12), from India, who grew up seeing garbage piled in open spaces near his community, making streets unsafe and increasing the risk of disease for children. This pushed him to believe that every child deserves to live in a clean, healthy environment.
Shashvat started the “Open Dumping Free – Waste Management” campaign to tackle this problem head-on. He organizes community awareness programs on proper waste disposal, encourages households and schools to separate wet and dry waste, and leads cleanliness drives in streets and public spaces with the help of other children and community members. He also visits schools, colleges, and shops to spread awareness about the dangers of open dumping, even administering awareness oaths to get people to commit to change.
With his parents guiding and accompanying him on his visits, Shashvat has been able to carry out his mission safely while reaching a wide range of people. Through his efforts, he has inspired children and community members alike to take greater responsibility for cleanliness and build a healthier environment for everyone.
