Arshia Baid
Your job should not cost you your rights. Know your worth, know your rights, and never settle for less.

Arshia Baid (16), is from India. Growing up near India’s industrial hubs, Arshia Baid saw adolescents and young people line up outside factory gates each morning, hoping for uncertain work. Many depended on informal middlemen and faced unfair pay, unsafe conditions and the risk of child labor. Arshia wanted to change a system that left vulnerable jobseekers with few safe options.
In 2023, she founded KaamPro, a digital employment platform now active across 11 Indian states. It connects young blue-collar jobseekers with formal employment and helps them understand their rights, including fair wages, legal contracts and safe working conditions. Arshia and her volunteers have held sessions at more than 26 industrial training institutes and low-income schools, and supported first-time digital users across 68 rural communities.
Since 2023, more than 45,000 jobseekers have created profiles on KaamPro. The platform has also received recognition from the Government of Rajasthan and Singhania University. By making formal employment more accessible, Arshia is helping young people move away from informal and potentially hazardous work.
