Minhazul Abedin Jisan

“When young people stand up for each other, listen without judgment, and take action, we can build a world where every child is protected, heard and never left alone.”

Minhazul Abedin Jisan

Minhazul Abedin Jisan (15), is from Bangladesh. Growing up in Bangladesh, Jisan noticed that many children in his community faced neglect and social pressure, with few safe spaces to express themselves. Emotional struggles and safety concerns were often left unspoken — something he decided to change.

Jisan engages children and adolescents directly on safety, rights, and the importance of speaking up against abuse and harmful practices. Through youth-led sessions in schools, he helps create open conversations about emotional wellbeing and the challenges students face, building a more supportive environment for everyone.

He also listens to young people who are struggling, encouraging them to seek help rather than stay silent — building a culture where children support each other. Through his involvement with SHADOW, Jisan mobilizes young volunteers to take part in awareness activities and community outreach.

With his family’s encouragement behind his social work, Jisan’s workshops, campaigns, and digital content have reached over 100,000 people, spreading a message of openness, safety, and support for children everywhere.
