Aleeza Rahamdill
“Change begins with compassion—through period hygiene education, breaking taboos, feeding the hungry, and protecting our planet. Every small act matters. Start now, speak up, and be more human to create a healthier, kinder world.”

Aleeza (15), is from Pakistan. Aleeza grew up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where girls often faced restrictions on their independence and access to education. After witnessing terrorism and the closure of girls’ schools, she moved to a hostel at just four and a half years old. Education helped Aleeza build confidence and see new possibilities for herself and other girls.
Today, she works to break taboos around menstruation and make sure girls have the knowledge they need to stay healthy and confident. Aleeza leads interactive menstrual health sessions, shares practical information about hygiene and sanitary products, and encourages girls to become peer educators in their schools and communities.
Her work has already reached hundreds of girls. At Government Girls High School Lelauni Shangla, she led a two-day seminar on menstrual hygiene for 850 students from Grade 6 to college level. She also reached 300 girls at a local madrasa, providing menstrual hygiene kits and practical guidance. By helping girls speak openly about menstrual health, Aleeza is creating safer spaces for them to learn and grow.
