Access to opportunity for socio-economic progress is a child’s birthright.

Tanush Shenai

Tanush Shenai (15) is a passionate STEM enthusiast who grew up in the United Arab Emirates as a Non-Resident Indian. During a social fellowship, he met children who were just as curious as he was, but who had much less access to resources and opportunities. Tanush also faced that same inequality himself due to financial constraints, which motivated him to act.

He founded the Ignite STEAM Club, a student-led initiative that gives children hands-on experience with STEM. Through workshops on topics including aerodynamics, circuits, and physics, he reached more than 800 young students. With Project SPARK, he partnered with 10 NGOs to make STEM kits and learning programs available. He also mentored children in robotics and AI and helped them prepare for national innovation competitions.

Tanush is building learning environments that keep growing. He trains volunteers, develops affordable teaching models, and draws on his own experience in STEM competitions to help others move forward. His initiatives received wide recognition, including media coverage in 13 local newspapers.
