Sakib Khan

I speak because I have met children who stay silent not by choice, but because no one ever asked them to speak.

Sakib Khan (16). Growing up in India, Sakib developed a deep sensitivity to the experiences of children whose voices often go unheard. Rather than seeing inequality and lack of access as distant issues, he connects with them personally, feeling a real responsibility to act.

Sakib speaks up in youth forums, discussions, and global platforms about children’s rights, treating them not as abstract ideas but as lived realities, reflecting on how silence and inequality affect children both emotionally and academically. Through national and international programs, he has engaged with diverse perspectives on education, equity, and child wellbeing, learning that children’s rights are universal but shaped deeply by local context.

Just as importantly, Sakib has become a safe space for his peers, listening without judgment, encouraging confidence, and reminding others of their worth.

With his parents and mentors encouraging empathy, critical thinking, and social responsibility, Sakib carries these lessons back into his own community with humility and purpose.
