Abrarul Alam Labib
It is our responsibility to protect every child’s right to grow up safely and with access to education

Abrarul Alam Labib (17), from Bangladesh, grew up seeing how child marriage can take away children’s opportunities, especially for girls. From an early age, they recognized this injustice and decided to speak up for children’s rights and safety.
Abrarul organizes awareness workshops in schools and communities to prevent child marriage. They also give presentations on children’s rights and safety and engage families and community members on the importance of education. Through community clubs and groups, Abrarul encourages other children to take part and develop their leadership skills.
Their work has already brought children and families together. Abrarul organized an educational webinar and local workshops that reached more than 200 children and parents. With support from their family, school and community organizations, they continue to turn awareness into action and help young people understand their rights and the value of education.
