Every child deserves dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunity regardless of gender, ability, or background. True change begins with everyday actions that break barriers, build understanding, and ensure every child feels seen and valued.
Azlan (17), from Pakistan is a passionate young changemaker working to make inclusion a reality for children. He teaches basketball to underprivileged girls and boys, creating a safe space where everyone can participate, build confidence and learn teamwork.
After seeing the communication barriers faced by hearing-impaired children, Azlan took action. He started sign language classes at his school so students and staff can communicate more effectively with hearing-impaired peers. He also raises awareness about children with disabilities and supports initiatives that amplify their voices.
Azlan’s work reaches children both offline and online. Through his own Instagram page and the Al Furqan Instagram account, which he manages, he shares content about inclusion, disability awareness, sign language learning and education support.
With strong support from his family, Azlan is helping create spaces where every child can participate, communicate and feel included.
