Aashvi Kohli

Privilege is not a comfort to enjoy quietly; it is a responsibility to ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, has equal access to education, dignity, and opportunity.”

Aashvi Kohli (17), from India, has cared about inequality since childhood. Seeing children on the streets without access to basic education made her ask why they did not have the same opportunities she had. Those questions inspired her to take action.

A Zonal Interact Representative, Aashvi organized donation and resource drives for educational materials and essential supplies. Her initiatives were adopted by more than 200 schools across the district, helping expand access while keeping dignity at the heart of distribution.

As President of her school’s Interact Club, she also strengthened local action and encouraged more young people to get involved. Her leadership and community-engagement workshops reached around 500 students, while her World Interact Week activities engaged another 500 students across the district. Her campaigns have also gained visibility through district and school social media channels, helping inspire others to take action too.
