Krish Nawal

Every child is an artist and a changemaker- art is not just what children make, it is how they speak truth to the world. — Krish Nawal, Co-Founder, CAMI

Krish Nawal (16), is from India. At just 13, Krish noticed something troubling: millions of children had no platform to express their ideas or identities. People talked about giving kids a voice, but rarely acted on it. Krish believed art could be that voice.

So he co-founded the Children’s Art Museum of India (CAMI), giving children aged 4 to 18 a free platform to submit and exhibit their artwork publicly through an online gallery. He didn’t stop there — Krish ran workshops at NGOs and schools, teaching students how to manage their own virtual galleries, and launched a CAMI ambassador program so children from under-resourced schools could join in and spread the love of art in their own communities.

To spark deeper thinking, Krish created art challenges themed around real-world issues like climate change, democracy, and gender rights. He even launched a CAMI Roblox game, letting children explore the museum through interactive quests — a creative new way to bring art education to life.

Backed by an advisory board of artists and educators, Krish is proving that every child’s voice deserves to be seen.
