Farabi Jabin Shairy
Every child you empower today becomes a shield for another child tomorrow.

Farabi Jabin Shairy (16), is from Bangladesh. Growing up in rural Bangladesh, Farabi watched girls her age being married off starting as early as sixth grade. In nearby indigenous communities, she saw children trapped by superstition and a lack of schools, locked into cycles of poverty with little chance to break free. Despite facing continuous discouragement from her own family, Farabi refused to look away.
She led campaigns against child marriage and child labor across communities in Sherpur, then expanded her work to Dhaka, engaging directly with street children. She founded a child rights initiative built around the idea of schools as a “second home,” creating Safe Child Clubs where students can safely report issues like child marriage, abuse, or child labor, with proper follow-up from authorities. During a recent election period, she also created short storytelling videos featuring street children, showing how their lives remain unchanged despite national progress.
The impact is growing: her campaign videos have reached thousands of viewers. Through resilience and creativity, Farabi is giving a voice to the most overlooked children in her community, one campaign, one club, and one video at a time.
