Jahed Ahmed

Every child deserves safety—online and offline. If we protect children today, we secure the future of our world tomorrow.

Jahed Ahmed (17), is from Bangladesh. Growing up in Osmaninagar, Bangladesh, Jahed watched classmates and peers face digital harassment, online manipulation, and bullying, often with no one to turn to and no guidance to protect themselves. His years in Bangladesh Scouts had already shaped his sense of responsibility and empathy, and these experiences pushed him to act.

Jahed founded iSafe BD, a youth-led digital safety initiative empowering children and teenagers to protect themselves from cyberbullying, harassment, fraud, and online exploitation. He went further, developing Bangladesh’s first pilot model of a “Digital Missing Child Alert System,” designed to rapidly spread verified missing-child information through top national apps to support recovery efforts. He also conducted awareness programs in more than 20 schools and colleges, educating thousands of children about staying safe online.

With his parents providing steady emotional and practical support, Jahed has built real tools and awareness to protect children in digital spaces where they’re often most vulnerable. By combining technology with grassroots education, he’s helping ensure that children facing online harm no longer have to face it silently or alone.
