“Everyone can do math. There’s no such thing as ‘inherently not math-minded’. You can do anything, I can do anything, and that’s the belief that should guide every student.”

Aryaman Chandra

Aryaman (17), from India, grew up between two educational worlds — Sonipat, where resources were scarce, and Gurgaon, where exam pressure turned curiosity into fear. In 2023, he was devastated when two schoolmates took their own lives due to severe exam anxiety. That loss pushed him to rethink education itself.

Rather than a small project, Aryaman built HeyArya!, an AI-powered mathematics platform based on Richard Feynman’s teaching method. Designed as both a learning tool and psychological support system, it helps students engage with math in a way that reduces anxiety instead of fueling it.

With guidance from mentors, educators, and family, Aryaman turned this idea into something students genuinely wanted to use. His writings breaking down math topics have reached more than 150,000 people on LinkedIn. In just eight months, HeyArya! attracted over 10,000 visits from 200 cities, spreading mostly through students and teachers sharing it with others — proof that when learning feels safe, curiosity can return.
