Nishat Tasnim Oishi

Children are the seeds of tomorrow; when each one is nurtured with rights and opportunities, the world blooms in fairness and hope

Nishat Tasnim Oishi

Nishat Tasnim Oishi (14), is from Bangladesh. Raised in a family that valued compassion and service, Nishat grew up noticing how social pressure and systemic barriers can leave young people feeling disconnected and self-doubting — especially children with limited access to opportunities.

At just 14, Nishat began volunteering with the Grow Your Reader Foundation, taking part in awareness programs and fundraising for underprivileged children. She secured sponsorships and resources for education, including help covering school materials and uniforms for students at Pahariapara Agamir School in Mymensingh. She promotes both organizations through social media to help them gain visibility and support.

Beyond fundraising, Nishat mentors younger students about their rights and encourages them to take part in school and cultural life, while engaging peers in campaigns to support children’s education. She also developed a rapid plant-growing method to boost crop yields, showing her knack for creative problem-solving.

Through workshops and community programs, Nishat continues to make conversations about children’s rights and inclusion accessible and engaging for everyone around her.

With a strong network of parents, mentors, and organizations behind her, Nishat is showing that compassion, paired with action, can change a community.
