Nina Goyal

Every child deserves the chance to create, express, and be heard. Arts education should be accessible to all, everywhere.

Nina Goyal

Nina Goyal (17), is from the United States. Growing up with access to school music programs, Nina noticed something troubling — many students in nearby communities didn’t have access to even basic arts education. Research showing that schools with music programs have higher graduation and attendance rates convinced her that arts education isn’t extra, it’s essential.

To close that gap, Nina founded SoFlo Music Academy, a registered nonprofit providing free, accessible music education to students around the world. She created structured learning materials, including a full music theory course with videos, slides, and guided exercises, so students could learn on their own regardless of location or financial means. Her website has already reached over 1,500 users globally.

Beyond the digital platform, Nina has worked directly with over 60 students offline through partnerships with community organizations, teaching foundational music concepts in person. She also built a volunteer network of 30+ students who help with outreach, advocacy, and content creation.

Nina’s work shows that music education shouldn’t depend on where you live or what you can afford — it should be available to every student who wants it.
